Tony Belobrajdic is a freelance artist/illustrator specializing in original “travelling watercolours” created on locations or sometimes started on the site as a rough or even detailed sketch and finished later in the studio. Sketched while sitting in a train, sipping coffee and viewing a scene or hiking through a mountain pass these watercolours certainly make you feel you are there. Paris, Venice and Rome are featured the most. He also sketches and paints scenes of Sydney and its suburbs.
Gallery 307 is proud to present his first solo exhibition in Sydney in April 2010. He has previously exhibited in New York and Croatia, his home country. Tony now teaches at Northbridge School of Visual Arts on a regular basis.
Tony has a diploma of civil engineering from Zagreb University ,Croatia After working for several years as a Civil engineer, he moved to New York in 1987, and a year later settled in Sydney, Australia. Working as an architectural illustrator for a few years, Tony started his own studio "Perspectiva Pty Ltd" in 1992. He also specializes in ‘Aviation Illustrations’ dedicated solely to aircraft lovers and enthusiasts. This has been his passion since childhood. |
