There are no clear boundaries between my work and family life. My inspirations continue to evolve however I do have a few core influences that will always have an effect on me. My children, my passion for colour, fabrics and ever changing fashion and design are a common thread through the span of my painting career, this keeps evolving and building.
The nature and freedom that my children get to experience from living near the bush and the beach and all that is uniquely Australian provide a never ending source of inspiration. Connections with these make me happy.
I like to source colours and ideas in different areas and collate sketches of ideas throughout the year. Photos from holidays, gardens, the beach, colour snippets from magazines and pieces of fabrics combined with fabulous colours help inspire a story to put on to canvas.
I have been painting now for many years, have entered and been successful in a number of exhibitions and am represented by a few high profile galleries.
I have been exhibiting with Suburban 312 Gallery since 2008.
