I have been learning about and appreciating art for 30 Years.
Formal training commenced at the Julian Ashton Art School at the Rocks CBD NSW, under the guidance of Richard Ashton, and his “Plein Air “classes in 1986 -1988.
My work is contemporary abstract and my inspiration comes from Peter Doig, Chagall, Turner, Cezanne, and many overseas adventures!
I moved to the Middle East in 1989 for 8 years which inspired me to look at other mediums and styles, and to enter competitions, where I was awarded a number of prizes
Since returning to Australia in 1996, I have studied with:
Lyn Hammond and Anne Bourne, Art Focus Gallery, Brookvale NSW
Larissa Blake, Mitchell School of Arts, Stuart University, Bathurst, NSW
Pina Bortelo, Life Drawing Narabeen NSW
I forever explore a variety of mediums to ensure the final work reflects the joys of discovery, experiences and feelings. My work is not limited to one subject matter. My love of colour and different environments and various cultures inspires and feeds my inspiration.
I exhibit regularly in galleries and exhibitions throughout Australia.
I have taken many commissions for my work for overseas and Australian private collections.
I teach Art Classes weekly at my home, Beginner and Intermediate Students, please contact Jeni 0417453272 |
